Mono/Di Twins...my Dilemma

I went to the doctor's today and she said that it appears that my twins are mono/di which means that they are most likely identical. This annoys me because I just did a fancy video, announcing my boy/girl twin pregnancy. Also, my baby shower is 3 weeks away and everyone thinks that Im having boy/girl twins. There is still a slight probability that the placentas fused together. This would increase the likelihood of my having fraternal boy/girl twins. My regular OB did an u/s today and is completely certain that baby A is a boy and baby B had its legs crossed. I have another formal ultrasound scheduled next tuesday before my first appointment with my high-risk doctor. I seriously do not feel like having to tell everyone that we are now having 2 boys and re-doing my registry. My fingers are crossed.

Babies moving!

Yesterday DH and I went to the movies and while we were sitting there, I felt one of my babies moving repeatedly in the same area of my abdomen so I decided to try my luck. I told hubby to put his hand on the area and he felt it move!! I was so excited. I was waiting for the time when he would be able to feel them moving and be apart of the experience. He just smiled and a few minutes later put his hand back on my abdomen to see if he could feel again :) too cute.

Wedding Party Experience

DH and I were apart of a wedding party this past weekend. It was such a wonderful experience but I was a little disappointed. We were standing in front of the church for about an hour and all of a sudden I started sweating; my legs started shaking and I felt dizzy! I ate and drank water that morning so I didn't understand what was happening. For 5 minutes, I debated whether or not to sit down. I thought about the repercussions of me fainting versus sitting and pictured people rushing over to help me off the floor and completely disrupt the ceremony.  I decided to just suck it up and sit myself down! SO I sat for a few minutes and then returned to my post. After the wedding I examined my feet and noticed that they were REALLY swollen.

I really hate to feel like my pregnancy is a disability but I am accepting that you will have limitations during pregnancy! It would have been nice to know what they were BEFORE the ceremony...However, GOD is sooo good because that could have been much worse.

Twin Gender Announcement

17 weeks and 2 days

Two days ago I went in for my follow up prenatal appointment praying that she would be able to tell me the gender of at least one baby before my anatomy ultrasound next week. And she did!!! I was sooo happy. We could not see the gender of baby B but we did see baby A. I wanted to tell my hubby in a special way so I went to the dollar store and found a baby candle in the same color as the gender. I then wrapped it up and waited for him to come home. When he opened it his expression was priceless! He just smiled to himself and then started cheesing and gave me a high-five. He then immediately ran upstairs and started looking for baby names. How awesome is that!?

The ultrasound itself was sooo cool. They were both moving like crazy. Baby A was looking at us with his open hands by his head. He looked like he was making a face. lol! It was such an emotional experience. The sonogram photo is below. On the top you can see the back of baby A. On the bottom you can see both of their little heads. My mom says," Wow they have big heads I thought that was the sac!" lol. Thanks Mom, it runs in my family :)
